Title: Removed rail from siding in New Albany
Post by: David Longest on June 01, 2021, 08:44:09 pm
Driving by the old location of Hoosier Panel Co. in New Albany this morning I noticed rail removed from the track.  I had somewhere to go so did not investigate.  The old rails are laying there near the MP 316 marker, which is lying down.  My question is, are other Monon fans finding track removed?  It may have been on the siding only.  Since the old Pillsbury building now has a tenant, the basic track is still intact as that industry is receiving deliveries on occasion.

My question to those from N A to Mitchell is: has the sidings been removed in your area from the Monon trackage?  It appears that the siding in the Vernia mileage (MP324) had been removed and north of McDonald Lane in New Albany still has the siding.
