Monon Will Try Out New Diesel Coach
Indianapolis, March 23-The Monon Railroad plans
to try out for two weeks a new type of railway coach powered
by two diesel engines built in the front end.
J.W. Barriger, Monon president, said today that
beginning April 1 the coach will make two daily round trips
between Bedford and Monon. It will make stops at
Bloomington, Greencastle, Crawfordsville and Lafayette.
At Monon it will make connections with trains
operating between Chicago and Indianapolis.
