MRHTS participation
« on: May 28, 2017, 09:18:04 am »
Hey guys.  I attend quite a few model railroading conventions. I often see railroad historical societies, etc. attend these events. I'll be attending the RPM (railroad prototype modeler) meet in St. Louis in June.  They say this will also be the largest annual gathering of railroad historical societies in the U.S.
Have we ever thought about attending any conventions?  Might be a good way to get our name out there and possibly sign up a few new members.  Wouldn't require much manpowe but we would need materials to hand out and signage. We could enroll new members on the spot and maybe sell some goodies from our store.  Unlike me, those manning the table would need to be Monon knowledgeable.  I'd just stand there and look pretty...or not.
If interested, here is a link (not sure if you can copy and paste.  If not, Google 2017 RPM in St. Louis and find the PDF.
