#DS-50 MONON's first diesel, wrecked on ITM move
« on: December 15, 2018, 09:16:05 am »
I am sad to say it looks bad for DS 50 that had its cab demolished on the ITM move to its new home by hitting a bridge.

Here are some links in forums talking about it:

I cannot find any articles on this, can some one post something if you find it.

Good News
From the THL 38-1
Is that parts for a SW1 locomotive are still available in the used equipment market, and there are companies in existence that can do that type of repairs.
DS-50 is stored in Logansport, Indiana and EEL River RR Barn in Logansport awaiting final decisions about the damage, restorations, and insurance coverage.
Seems to be there maybe a good news story to be heard from in the future.................
