Attached are articles taken from several histories of counties which the Monon served. These seem to provide
some evidence of the presence of depots in those counties. With other knowledge of our membership maybe these can
shed light on those depots. One of these, Mudge Station, I know little about. The Lake Cty. article seems of little help. The dates given ti identify the article are copyrights of the county history book.

The information about LaCrosse is correct David. The C&GE (PRR) crossed the Monon at new LaCrosse in 1865. There were two depots there, a new one built by the C&GE, and a older one belonging to the Monon which was moved down there from old LaCrosse which was originally located 1.6 mile to the north where the C&C had crossed in 1861. When the C&GE tied into the C&C at new LaCrosse, the old line to the north was abandoned and removed.
Eventually three more railroads came through LaCrosse, the PM, the C&O, and the CA&S, and all five were still operating when I was a boy growing up there. / Ron
