Carmel Depot?

This image just appeared recently on eBay.  Is this the Monon depot in Carmel?  There was no date available.

Definitely not the Monon depot there, George.  The Monon depot there was totally different (see attached).

Looks to me like a trolley depot.  In the 1920-30's there were many trolley lines centered on Indianapolis.

It is most likely the interurban station in Carmel.

Thanks for responding.  Wonder if this interurban parallel to the Monon or crossed it somewhere.  I have seen some photos of a Monon/interurban wreck near Indy in the early part of the 1900s.

That is the Union Traction Company's depot - although at the time that picture was taken it would have been the Indiana Railroads. That line crossed the Monon just south of what is now 111th Street and headed north into Carmel before turning and heading onto Noblesville. The depot was located two blocks northeast of the Monon one.
