Cedar Lake Monon Pier
« on: December 04, 2015, 12:10:56 pm »
A number of postcard images exist of the "Monon Pier" at Cedar lake.  The pier was located behind the old depot and can be seen in many photos of the depot.  I have attached a recent photo I found on eBay.

The question is, "Did the Monon Railroad actually own the pier or was it simply named that because of its location to the depot?"

I have done some research and was unable to find verification that the railroad ever owned the pier.

Tom, check if Nelson's Hotel owned it.
