I am modeling a stone mill around the Bloomfield area. The model I am using is based on a wooden building. Based on my research, it seems that the earliest structures were wood, while the later structures were stone, cinder block, brick, and/or metal.
What would be a typical exterior color of a stone mill? Some of the old photographs seem to be washed out white, while others seem to be red or brown, but it is hard to tell seeing as they are black and white. Any suggestions for the color of the sills?
By the way, I am using an N-Scale Architect kit.
