Lafayette Railroads—not Monon
« on: August 29, 2022, 01:42:53 pm »
Hello,
New member here, with many questions to come specifically about the Monon. However, a question about another railroad. My grandfather was the minister of the Lafayette Central Presbyterian Church. He and my grandmother lived in the Manse located at the NE corner of South and 8th Streets. (The building is now gone.) One of my early memories is from about 1950 as my grandmother, every morning, swept the :) front porch because of the soot left by the nearby railroad. As I can best remember, the railroad ran across the intersection of South and 9th streets.
What railroad was it?
Thank you!
Robert Bowman :)

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but that should be the old Wabash RR.
