81526 at Bluegrass Railway Museum

The Bluegrass Railroad Museum is actively restoring MONON 81526. Attached are photos taken in June. They have works sessions readying the interior for painting, and the exterior is to be painted under a contract. Donations to the MONON caboose restoration fund may be sent to Bluegrass Railroad Museum Inc., 175 Beasley Road, Versailles KY 40383.  The plan is to finish it as closely as possible to paint scheme #1 as it was when first put into service. I'll post more photos after the painting is complete.

I took this photo at the BGRM on January 23, 2021. Comparing it to my previous photo, the trucks have been painted and the end platforms are no longer white.
