Monon and AMSX

I recently found a photo of a Monon hopper on eBay with the reporting marks of AMSX 44033 (see attachment).  I think AMSX is AllTrans Management Services Corp.  The date on the photo is 9/27/00.  Did AMSX buy some former-Monon cars or was there a working agreement of some sort?
