When you are a registered Monon Board member, which means you are a member of the:
MRH-TS
(Monon Railroad Historical and Technical Society)
http://monon.org/ (http://monon.org/)
and registered to this board (MONON Board),
you are also given a rating by how many posts you have made to the MONON BOARD.
The levels are:
Level required post
Monon fireman 0
Monon brakeman 50
Monon Conductor 100
Monon Engineer 250
Monon Dispatcher 500

What is the reason for the ratings?? I like to read everything but I do not post that much. Does this mean I am going to be looked down upon because of that??

No Sharon, fireman is still respected.

I am not sure if my last entry was posted or not. I still feel that the ranking is really discrimatory and not necessary.

Sharon
LOLOL
No, it is a common Board feature built into all boards to let others know and you know how many posts have been made by all.
If you reply as much as you do on the Monon ListServ, your rating will go up in know time. It is a way for others to get assistance, they can see the ratings and ask the member who has posted alot if an Admin is not available or online.

Sharon. When the Board was first set up, everyone was a Newbie. I'd rather be a Fireman than a Romper Room character. As Rick said, it is part of the software.

Sharon,
I don't mind being a fireman on this road. At least we're not shoveling coal--yet.

As a Monon Fireman do I get a t shirt, ball cap or a decoder ring?
-
You get a shovel and an oil can.
