Bob Myers, the last Monon employee working at Lafayette, retired February 3 after 44 years on the railroad.

That would mean that he had, what, maybe a year and some months with the company we all very much miss. Congrats, how blessed you were. How many living Monon retirees are there? Any one mave that count?
Thanks, David

Craig, would you please email me his home address? I'd like to send him a card. Thanks, / Ron

I just confirmed it with Jacksonville, and Bob Myers was, in fact, the last former Monon engine and train service employee still working. And now there are none....... sad. / Ron
PS, as far as how many Monon employees are still living, I can't answer that question. I do know there is only one south end engineer older than me in seniority still alive. I just hope the good Lord is not taking us in seniority order. LOL.
