Title: Last Former Monon Employee at Lafayette Retires

Bob Myers, the last Monon employee working at Lafayette, retired February 3 after 44 years on the railroad.

That would mean that he had, what, maybe a year and some months with the company we all very much miss.  Congrats, how blessed you were.  How many living Monon retirees are there?  Any one mave that count?

I just confirmed it with Jacksonville, and Bob Myers was, in fact, the last former Monon engine and train service employee still working.  And now there are none....... sad.  / Ron

PS, as far as how many Monon employees are still living, I can't answer that question.  I do know there is only one south end engineer older than me in seniority still alive.  I just hope the good Lord is not taking us in seniority order.  LOL.
