Title: Jim Maire Photos: McDoel Yard 1973
Post by: Eric Reinert on August 13, 2014, 11:27:17 pm
I found this while surfing this evening. There are 200 photos I've never seen before, taken by Mr. Maire while a student at IU while taking a photojournalism class. His Grandfather, Ed Meyers was an engineer for the Monon, retiring in 1961.  I've attached a couple. There are many more, and they are all excellent.
They are L&N but retain a Monon feel.

There are several excellent images in that collection. They really capture that special breed of tough guys. Thanks for the link.

Eric,

Great find.  I'm curious.  How you were able to capture the relatively small images on the Web site into larger .png images?

George, I use the iMac/Apple "partial screen capture" shortcut: Command-Shift-4 and then click on one corner, then drag it to the opposite corner and let the mouse go to capture whatever portion of the screen you want.
