Thanks for forwarding this, cool photos. #3 looks like the photographer was sitting on the roof of a caboose cupola. #9 is a rare shot of a troop kitchen car being used as a head-end caboose. They seem to have avoided the camera.

Pic number 9 has an RS2 running hood forward. Haven't seen many pictures of that.

On the Monon RS-2's were set up to operate with the long end as the front. More often than not, they were run that way.

Makes sense. Still seems like lots of pics are out there with them the other way around
