Two more Monon-related photos on the Classic Trains website.
Hilton's list seems to be uncertain of Tennessee RR #37's exact Monon identity, yet does seem to indicate that it is Class J1 #107.

Tim,
My information shows that TRR #37 was former-Monon 2-10-2 #601.
Attached is the one image I have of the unit that I found on eBay. The caption was:
"Oneida, TN; 11/15/50; R. Larson photo"
Here is the complete information I have about TRR locomotives:
TRR #37 - Monon #601
TRR #39 - Monon #600
TRR #? - Monon #507
TRR #40 - Monon #509
TRR #41 - Monon #514
I have numerous images of #39, #40 and #41.
Hope this is right.

You are absolutely correct, George! If I had looked further down on Hilton's list at the Class L1 2-10-2's, I would have found it. My bad! /Tim.

Tim,
No problem. Thanks for the additional image of TRR #37 for my collection.
Now the question is, "What happened to former-Monon #507?" Never have been able to solve that mystery. It's possible it was used for parts and never received a TRR number.
