In commemoration of Lincoln's funeral train 150 years ago, the 2015 replica train will run through Chicago and Michigan City on a reenactment role. Below are addresses for the event. The Hoosier History web site relates the events (Michigan City link on map), and the WTTW site about Chicago (click on steam locomotive icons for Chicago and Lafayette). And finally, a web site in the 3rd address is about the 2015 Lincoln train in general.

A Lincoln funeral train representative told me that the plan to run the train and stop in Chicago, Michigan City and Lafayette is yet to be development. When Lincoln's train ran through Lafayette in 1865, it was on Monon's predecessor railroad, the Louisville, New Albany & Chicago.
The 2015 train is currently in Springfield where a 3-day weekend event takes place for the commemoration starting May 1. There are events in Lafayette on April 29, and in Chicago and Michigan City on May 1, but without the train.

A further note about the Lincoln train: The Hoosier History web site has a link for Lafayette rather than the WTTW site.
