One of my all time favorites, featuring the Garden Spot of the Monon.
-
One of my favorites. At Switz City on the B&B
-
Northbound through Mitchell

Awesome picture. Those of you that can not get the thumbnail to open because it is so large, click on the link under it to download it.

Joe,
I love that little 2 axle caboose!
Geof
-
Bobber caboose #245 was built in New Albany shops 1892....
I bet riding in a four wheel caboose was less than comfortable.... ;D
-
Probably be like riding a Fairmont speeder. Man those things ride rough, or at least the ones I have ridden in were.
-
Somewhere in Indiana. J. Parker Lamb photograph.
-
Tom, you may want to note that the BL2 picture you last posted was a J. Parker Lamb photo. / Ron

This is a test. I have tried 5 times today to post to this board but no luck. I hit post and nothing happens.

Evidently, the system didn't like the photo I was trying to post. I will try to post a different photo this time.
-
Good photo Sharon. It posted just fine.
-
I like that one too Sharon. Nothing prettier than a new red paint job.
-
Another of my favorites. Middle Salt Creek Bridge, Jim Craig photo. I use this one as desktop background.
-
This is another favorite of mine. Again, it features Monon, Indiana. I believe this one may have been taken by Sharon Eberhard.
-
Here's one of my favorites. When I sent the slide back to Kodac to have a print made, they accidentally washed it out, and it came back looking like a watercolor. / Ron
-
Ron,
Know the road number of this car?
George L.
-
No, I'm sorry George but I don't. The number on the end looks like "something" 35, maybe an L, but it's not clear enough to read. / Ron
-
Ron, is this the same car?? X-58
-
Might be Tom, I don't know for sure. They had dozens of those things running around, and they repaired and modified them so much through the years it's hard to tell. / Ron
-
Awesome photos.

Fairbanks-Morse H-15-44 #45 . working together on freight train at Salem,IN.
Date and photographer unknown.
-
Joe, that was taken in 1960, and the archives show it being from "Bob's Photo Collection", obviously a dealer. I believe it's a Tom Smart photo, but I don't know that for sure. Nice picture buddy. / Ron
-
That narrows the date down to late fall/winter of 1960.--- Slide was in the Blue Box that mysteriously showed up at WHQ. Only info on slide was "Salem".

My favorite, the semaphores north of Orleans. I knew we'd arrived at my grandparents' home when we drove past them...

My favorite Monon picture FM #45 & BL 2 @ Paoli. At the left edge of the picture you can see my grandparents house. My grandfather, Marion (Ike) F. Cunningham, was a Monon fireman and engineer.
-
I took this photo in Michigan City in the early 70s.
-
That looks like Earl Road, north of US 20 and just south of the PM crossing.
-
My shot of the crossing sign is just a little older....I think I was about 17 when I took this.
Sharon
-
Lowell parking sign in June 1979.
-
I remember that sign. Sorry that I didn't "borrow" it years ago..LOL
