Title: Business Car #2 and Caboose #81532 in Route to HVRM

At last report (12/02/23), #2 and #81532 were on the back of an NS freight in Muncie on the way to North Judson (HVRM).  The cars were shipped through Louisville and Cincinnati.  ETA not known at this time.

There was a picture on Facebook this morning showing the cars rolling through Elkhart.

They made it to Elkhart, IN last night.

Here's a 12/03/23 report of a possible route for the cars:

Cars are in Elkhart and have to be moved down to Ft. Wayne.  There is a local out of Ft. Wayne that runs west to Argos.  Cars will have to be moved to Argos.  There is a local that runs west out of Argos to Valparaiso.  Cars apparently will be picked up from Argos by that train, taken to Valpo while they do some switching there and then on the way back east to Argos, they will drop the cars into the interchange track at Thomaston for the Chesapeake & Indiana (CKIN) to pick up.  There are a LOT of gondolas at the customer on CKIN's main line at La Crosse, Indiana.  Those cars will have to be moved so that the cars can get by and be taken by CKIN down to North Judson.

Timing of all this unknown.

The cars did not move last night as planned.

However now NS says they will be on train 303 leaving around midday today.

Most likely stay in Argos tonight and then hopefully to the CKIN interchange in Thomaston tomorrow.

Les Beckman reports that as of 12/6, #2 and #81532 have arrived at Thomaston.  CKIN does not yet have plans for delivery down to North Judson.

The latest information is that the cars will be moved to HVRM on Monday or Tuesday.

I just learned that the cars should arrive Monday morning at the HVRM interchange.  So they should be on the property mid day.

The Caboose and Business car arrived at the museum this morning.
The business car was put into the shop, out of the weather, and locked up.

Mission accomplished.
