Does the board software have a means to mark a topic as a "favorite" or to bookmark it, such that you would then have a list attached to your account where you can review this smaller list of topics at a late date?
With the old listserv, I just saved the emails that pertained to topics that I wanted to reference later. I can imagine that we will end up with quite a large number of topics posted here, and trying to remember a month from now (who am I kidding, tomorrow ;D) where was that interesting post that I wanted to re-read could be difficult.
Or is that what the purpose of the Notify feature on the post is for?
At any rate, this looks promising, and thanks to everyone involved for putting the time and effort into it.

Hello Nathan,
Good to see you here. Yes, that is what the "Notify" is for. Clicking on the First post in that topic should get you a notification when a new post is made there. I think clicking on "Notify" further down in a topic would mean your "notifcations" would start after that point.
A administrator or moderator can feel free to correct this post if I am wrong.

Pete, I think what Nathan's asking for is a way to save interesting (to him) postings/attachments for reviewing later. They seem to be easily "lost" after you review them and are hard to find again because you don't know how (where) they were classified.
I'd like to know the same thing. /Tim.

That would be ideal. The Notify feature does partially fulfill this function, though I have to remember to go in to modify my profile (Profile -> Modify Profile -> Notifications) so I can see the list of things for which I want notified.
This is a new (to me) style of forum software, so who knows, there may be a plugin or something that can be added to provide feature parity with other forums I've seen.

It appears to me you can "send this topic" to your own email address. The su[not allowed]ect of the email will be the name of the topic. If you send this one to yourself "Favorite/Bookmarked Post" is going to be in your Su[not allowed]ect line. How you file it on your email is up to you.

See above first. This email you send yourself will have a direct link straight back to this topic so you can find it from your stored emials on your computer.

Further more, if you really want to bookmark it in Internet Explorer (browser), once you receive the email, click it, and then save it to your favorites. But then you must file it and at least rename it by right clicking on it in your browser favorites. Otherwise they will all have the same name.

Okay now, you're dealing with a bona-fide, genuine computer "Dummie" here. EXACTLY how do you do this? I can't even find any "Notify" feature.

Tim,
"Notify" tag is next to "Reply" that you used to send your reply...."Send This Topic" is in the same row of tags.
