Title: L&N #260

I recently found this photo of L&N #260 on eBay.  I had to "shop" the photo to clean off some text.  The locomotive is former-Monon RS-2 #51.

The seller identified the location as Salem, IN in 1972.  Based on the roof material of the building behind the locomotive, I doubt that this photo was taken in Salem.  Anyone have any opinions?

The fellow on the platform looks like switchman Wayne "Robbie" Robinson.  I don't recognize the guy in the cab.  / Ron

She's running short nose first.
Did all RS 2's have dual control stands after  their last MONON re-build ?

None of the RS2's had dual controls.  We ran them short nose first quite often anyway.  We even ran them short nose first on passenger.  / Ron

David,  this is southbound on the Main crossing 6th st.
