The contract for construction of the addition to The Depot railroad museum at Salem has been awarded to Ray Walker Construction, Paoli. Mr. Walker advised that work on the 3,000 square foot, two-story addition should begin the second week in September. The basement level of the addiition will become home to the Monon Society's world headquarters. Further details are in Track Talk News at salemdepot.com

Yippee! The south end can use the exposure and activity. Monon started in the south and this is fantastic news. Thanks to all your direction and hard work, Cecil.

Cecil, this is Great news. I look forward to seeing the progress when I stop by on the way to the covention. They will not get far by that time but it will still be nice to see.
