Vern,

Nice scenery too !  You should get Lafayette to Limedale on one card tabe in that scale.

Long years ago, I figured out that if I was willing to wrap it around several times and maybe do 2 levels, I could have modeled the entire Monon in my basement (at the time) in Z scale. A 20x50 foot space could hold 5000 feet of track if you did it right! But I never had the bucks or time to give up my HO stuff and build something so ambitious!

Here are some more, Stew. Sorry it took so long. Yes, I have the 1223, and 2 of the 50 footers they did 10 or so years ago. I have the Shapeways caboose, but haven't painted it yet. Vern at G.

Great wok. With my eyesight these days O scale would be a challenge. Looking good Vern.

Vern,

I just completed a Z scale Indiana quarry diorama for our local NMRA division meeting.  Attached are a couple of photos of it.  I got a piece of Indiana limestone that was cut originally for possibly a window sill.  I created the quarry on the diorama by cutting it out on a computer controlled milling machine (photo also attached). Overall diorama size is 12" x 18".

I am amazed at the quality detail of this scale.  I am also amazed that your eyes are good enough to work on stuff this small.  I think N-scale is about my lower limit in size.
