Title: McDoel In The Snow, 1960's
Post by: Ron Marquardt on January 09, 2013, 12:30:10 pm
I don't know that this necessarily qualifies for the Buildings and Bridges section, but I think it is a great winter photo of McDoel taken from the entrance road, and I wanted to share it with you.  It is from the collection of Dave Meadows, grandson of famed Monon photographer J.F. Bennett.

Dave, who worked for the mechanical department, and his father Darrell, who was roundhouse foreman at McDoel, were lifelong employees of the Monon and it's successor companies.  / Ron

Well I think you put it in the right place.  Camera man is looking West, but he knew that. LOL.   That is about as good of a picture of that tank I have seen and great for modeling the yard.

That, my friend is the beauty of an Indiana winter scene.  Thanks for posting, David
