Those U23B's were brand new, built in February 1974. A neat perspective that shows the old alignment nicely.

Also a really nice view of the nightmare of a fully-mechanical interlocking. I count about 15 pushrods leading out of the tower. Heaven help the poor maintainers who had to keep those free and operating year-round!
