Title: No. 600 In New Paint
Post by: Mike Aufderheide on February 04, 2016, 06:38:45 pm
Someone on e-bay has put up a bunch of Monon steam photos, many of which I haven't seen before.  Including this picture:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/5J836-RP-1940s-MONON-RAILROAD-ENGINE-600-/351642217937?hash=item51df826dd1:g:YaIAAOSwnipWUlhC

This shows engine 600 in storage (cover in place on the stack) with fresh paint on the smokebox and firebox.  What's strange is that this paint is black instead of the normal graphite color.  There are many other photos by the same seller that are new to me.
