Dearborn Station
« on: January 25, 2015, 12:25:20 pm »
There have been some great shots taken at Dearborn posted on eBay recently.  Here is a photo of an ATSF A-B-B-A lashup with a Monon passenger set in the background.  There was no caption for the photo, but a date in the 1950s is likely.  Can anyone date the cars?

Here's a photo of the entrance to Dearborn Station probably taken in the early part of the 1900s based on the presence of horses and buggies and the vintage of the cars.  The closeness of the streetcar operations to Dearborn is also interesting.

The first pic is probably from the early 1960s, as the Monon baggage car is in black-and gold.

The second pic is pre 1922, as the fire hasn't destroyed the station rooftop yet.

It looks like a 1962 Chevy II (Nova) is the newest car in this photo.
