Received this in trade.  Slide is dated 1964.  My question: What is the purpose of the silo sitting behind that NYC hopper?  Steve told me he thought it was related to the seed house (out of site in this view) and may have been to move "waste" corn cobs.

Speaking of "waste" corn cobs, a bit south of here I also found MON box 15018 with a load of cobs. There must have been value to them if a boxcar could be loaded to move them.  Anyone with the "secret" knowledge?
