DS-50
« on: February 15, 2012, 04:25:19 pm »
One of the first diesel locomotives on the Monon. DS-50 survives today and is located at the Indiana Transportation Museum. It is in private ownership, but the Museum does operate the locomotive.  In 2007, during the Annual Meeting weekend, DS-50 pulled an excursion of convention attendees in a caboose train featuring caboose 81528, which had been given a makeover prior to the convention. Seven weekends worth of work.
