The latest edition to the Store arsenal. Well, not so new, but was given a high tech makeover. The original sign was made by Mike Ecterling back in 2008. The triangular sign sat on top a 7 foot pole and would slowly revolve. The motor died and the sign was stored away after my surgery in 2009.

While doing some reorganization, I uncovered it and decided to update it. Last December, George Carpenter floated an idea of getting a model blimp with Stores advertising to float around train shows. That started me thinking on whether the sign could be upgraded.  Society member Don Kuhlman took over the project and did the upgrades, including LED lights behind the glass panels and the addition of a flat screen monitor which allows DVD's, digital photos or Power Points to be played during shows. My daughter gave me a pair of speakers that travel with the sign. After a near accident at the Indy show, I added removable legs, which makes the unit stronger and more steady.

Pictured is the sign and a slide I used at the Indianapolis show.
