Someone, a few weeks ago, probably on the old Listserve, brought up the su[not allowed]ect of the old IC wooden trestle south of Bloomington. I happened across it today when I was working with Google Earth, and thought I'd post the image. On the left is Victor Pike and the IC bridge, on the right is the Monon, the section of track we referred to as Victor Straight, the only 1 mile straight piece of track between McDoel and Bedford. The Monon bridge you see crosses Clear Creek at the north end of the Straight, and is MP E-4.0, or four miles south of the town of Clear Creek.
The Google Earth image was taken March 2005, so I have no idea how much of the IC bridge is still there today, but I'm going down and get a picture or two when I get a chance. / Ron
