Downtown Bloomington Engine Facilities

I didn't know exactly where to put this.  The su[not allowed]ect came up in Pete's depot thread, but since it didn't exactly fit there I decided to start a new thread.  Attached is the only known photo of the turntable and part of the engine house across from the depot in downtown Bloomington.  We speculate that the prefab turntable, called a Sellers turntable, may have been relocated to Switz City when these facilities were moved down to Hillside Drive at MaDoel yard.  / Ron

Looks like this was the Monon's version of a snowplow in those days.

Either a snow plow or a heavy duty cow catcher. Cow flinger would be better. LOL.

Looks a lot like the snow plow that sat down in the back corner of the yard at Shops for many a year - I distinctly remember seeing it there at least in the late 1970s when I was at Purdue.

It would be an effective cow-flinger too, though :-)
