I've been going thru some scans of a "semi-ledger" at WHQ (on shelf A21) that has drawings of car parts (including some caboose parts), shop parts, and detailed drawings of fractured axles of freight cars. Attached is a spreadsheet I put together of the "foreign" (non-Monon) cars that were wrecked. Note the number of PRR cars. Why wrecks/fractures (twice each) at Cary and Fair Oaks? Note that one drawing is of a car in Kepshire's famous 1954 pile-up in downtown Lowell. Maybe someone can figure out the type of car(s) where I just have blanks so far (the various drawings do not all have the same amount of info).
