Not sure if this is the right category, but here goes. In 2009 I was contacted by a production group working on an idea for a PBS documentary on the Kankakee River and the former Grand Kankakee Marsh. I spent several days with the producers and film crews in and around South Bend and Shelby. The film is finished and aired last night on Lake Shore Public Broadcasting (NW Indiana). It will air on other Indiana PBS stations, so check local listings. The film is called The Everglades Of The North, and although I have no on camera role, I did help. The Monon Railroad was mentioned along with the history of the hunting and fishing clubs of the former Kankakee Marsh.
