Ken:

Was there Walter Booth, Hammond, locomotive engineer, in the Monon employee database? The name surfaced from the census schedules, 1920-1930 - lest he was an engineer for another railroad.

Did not find anyone named Booth in the copy of the data base that I have.  Ken may have someone since he is the one that adds new names.

Sorry do not have anyone w the last name of "Booth" in the employee database (yet?).
If you come across info that he did in fact work for the Monon, please let me know.  Thanks.

I also checked the seniority rosters I have for the south Hammond area, and I couldn't find his name either.  / Ron

I found a Walter Booth obituary in the Hammond Times archives from April 24, 1956. Looks like he worked for the Indiana Harbor Belt, as well as for General American's in-plant railroad (GATX) in East Chicago.
