Anthony B. "Tony" Kozubal

Anthony B. "Tony" Kozubal, 86, of East Chicago, IN., passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 1998 at St. Catherine Hospital, East Chicago. Survived by two brothers, John S. Kozubal and Edward (Lucy) Kozubal, and sister-in-law, Ann Charbonneau, all of Hammond; also numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife, Frances, January 28, 1974, his son, Thomas, August 24, 1996, his sister, Helen Krizman, December 1996 and his brother Walter in 1954.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 16, 1998 at 9:30 a.m. from Huber's Funeral Home, 905 W. Chicago Ave., East Chicago, IN., and 10 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Church, East Chicago, with Msgr. John J. Siekierski officiating. Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL. Friends may visit at Huber's Funeral Home on Thursday 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Holy Name will recite the rosary at 4 p.m., and East Chicago Highland Elks Lodge #981 will conduct services at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, at the funeral home.
Mr. Kozubal was lifetime resident of the Calumet Region; member of St. Stanislaus Church, East Chicago and first president of the Holy Name Society of St. Stanislaus Church; retired from the Monon L&N Railroad where he was a superintendent of the Freight Division from Chicago to Lafayette, Indiana. Mr. Kozubal was an active and life member of East Chicago Highland #981 Elks for over 45 years and was a member of the East Chicago Elks Realty Board for many years. Also affiliated with the Studebaker Drivers Club.
