Cecil Ray Blaker

Cecil Ray Blaker, 75, of Indianapolis formerly of Bloomfield, passed away at 6:44 a.m. Sunday, February 2, 2014 at his residence.

Born January 1, 1939 in Bloomfield, he was the son of Troy Herbert and Bertha Jane (Miller) Blaker.

He was retired as a railroad engineer and a member of the Bloomfield Masonic Lodge.

Surviving relatives include: his wife, Karen K. (Flater) Blaker of Indianapolis; two sons, Bryan Keith (Linda) Blaker of Norfolk, Virginia and Myers Bradley Blaker of Indianapolis; one daughter, Stacey Sue (Tom) Gardner of Indianapolis; one brother, Robert Blaker of Shepherdsville, Kentucky; one sister, Vivian Heaton of Victoria, Texas; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, two sisters and his parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Rev. Arlen Pope officiating. Interment will follow in Prairie Chapel cemetery in rural Lyons.
