Interesting shot Joe.  Sketer Jct. was where we interchanged with the IC RR south of the RCA plant.  The main track is on the left, and Skeeter Jct. ran off the Cassell track on the right.  / Ron

So named because of the high quantity of mosquitoes, or someone, like Skeeter Davis?

I was a senior in high school in 1976. I went to ft. Lauderdale for spring break, and boarded the train in Bloomington. Somewhere in Alabama I struck up conversation with the amtrack conductor, I am unable to recall if he had been an I c man, or an l&n,but I was impressed by his knowledge of McDole and skeeter junction. Thanks for jogging the memory. Scott.
