I only recently learned of the passing of George Moorhous. Although it is not mentioned in his brief obituary, George was a North End Monon conductor with I suspect at least 40 years service, and a fine gentleman. / Ron Marquardt
George W. Moorhous Jr.
92, of Carmel, died April 24, 2017. He was born March 14, 1925 in Lafayette to George Moorhous and Martha (Girth) Moorhous.
In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his oldest son, Bill; two sisters, Evelyn and Miriam.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth; sons, Greg (Kathy) and Scott (Deana Stewart); daughter-in-law, Cathie and 7 grandchildren.
Family and friends will gather on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church where the service will follow at 12:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations in memory of George, be given to the church.
