I purchased the N scale C420 and love it.  The latest Hoosier Line has a great article that discusses the pros and cons of the engine.  I am not concerned with the more technical aspects as my very small track is shared by my 7 year old grandson and five year old granddaughter.  Oh, the Monon engines are high and dry and safe.
