Semaphores between Raton and Lamy, New Mexico on the BNSF
« on: May 07, 2012, 11:35:02 pm »
We rode in an ex-Santa Fe full dome car, SLRG's Sky View, on the end of Amtrak's Southwest Chief between Trinidad, Colo. and Albuquerque on Sunday.  There are a number of operating semaphores on this line that is now only used by Amtrak.  BNSF freights no longer go over Raton Pass.

My reason for posting this is that the semaphores were reminders of the good old days on the Monon.
