The Kentucky Railway Museum is planning to use the Monon BL-2 on the scheduled trips this weekend. Considerable work has been done on the locomotive, however keep in mind that due to the age of #32, unforeseen problems could necessitate a change to using the Santa Fe CF-7. I had the pleasure of operating 32 on Tuesday and it ran perfectly. A student engineer ran it northbound and it handled Nelsonville Hill with no problems. I ran south- long end first-and switched with it. It was surprisingly responsive. Not at all bad for a 64 year old locomotive-with an engine crew even older!
