As this is Election Day, seems appropriate to post these 4 items (see attached) re campaigning on the Monon during late 1950s - early 1960s.

Question for those who know more about track work and road bed than I--
Is the "dirt" on the engine from soft spots that "pump mud" in wet weather ?
