Old passenger car
« on: March 04, 2013, 02:02:59 pm »
Recently while scanning some old negatives and slides I ran across these photos that I took in 1969 or 1970.  This is an old narrow gauge coach that sat at the Texas Quarry north of Bloomington for many years.  Of course it is long gone, but it appeared to have been used as a warming hut for quarry workers or perhaps a small office.  It occurred to me that since the Monon did serve that quarry, could this coach been from the old B&B?

John, the pictures are neat.  What indicated to you that this coach was narrow gauge?  Did you take some measurments or something?  / Ron

Ron
I didn't actually measure it, but while walking around and through it I could tell it was smaller than stardard gauge.
