HO Airslide Hoppers
« on: March 15, 2013, 09:34:34 pm »
Anyone have the GATX car Monon leased from General American that the Society released many years ago as a flat cavity kit from Eastern Car Works. I am trying to locate color photos of the car. I am hoping to get the model produced again. Didn't Champion make a decal set?

The prototype car carried the triangular General American Airslide logo on the upper left of the car body (second panel). The Monon road name was red, and roughly centered on the car body (3rd thru 7th panels). The wheel-and-rail logo was placed to the right of the road name (9th panel), and was also stenciled in red. All other lettering was black.

This is the car that I mean. I need a picture of the prototype where the graphics and lettering can be seen. There is a possibility of getting a ready to run car produced.
