Baggage Cars 430-436
« on: July 28, 2019, 03:33:20 pm »
Anyone have images of these cars (StLouis Cars of 42) in green before repainting in R&G.  I am trying to verify underbody equipment placement for models.

Thanks, Steve.  Is it safe to assume that the 3 window doors were installed when they went to red and gray?

Bill,

I found several photos of the cars still in Pullman Green being pulled by red and gray F3's and the windows were unchanged at that point so it would seem to be pretty safe to say the change to three window doors came with the red and gray era as you suggest. Hope this helps,

 Steve

Thanks again.  That confirms what I have thought as I could not imagine a photo of them in R&G with the original 4 window paneled doors.  I guess I am going to have to scratch build some new doors.
