Stew,

I have assumed that the Monon gold color was the same as the university colors of Purdue and DePauw, which is officially Old Gold.  I learned, much to my surprise, that Old Gold is a recognized, official color and is found on many color charts with a unique formula.

Do you know if the Monon gold color was supposed to be Old Gold?

Wasn't the Monon Gold a mix of gold and silver?

I have always used a 50/50 mix of Floquil Gold and Floquil Silver.

Ah, I knew I had heard that mix somewhere. I thought maybe it was Mont or Chad.

Model Master's "champagne gold metallic" is a nice "Monon gold", especially for the later years (60's) when, it seems to me, they were using a slightly brighter shade of gold.
