Samantha was the daughter of longtime Society member Steve Potrzebowski. I attended the service as both a friend and in the capacity as Vice President.
Samantha Renee Potrzebowski, 7, of Westville, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2014. She was born August 29, 2006 in Valparaiso to Stephen and Mary (Johnson) Potrzebowski. Samantha is survived by her parents, paternal grandparents Robert Potrzebowski of Westville, Harriet Potrzebowski of La Porte, maternal grandparents Raymond and Audrey Johnson of Michigan City. She was preceded in death by her sister Emily. Samantha was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church in La Porte and a first grade student at Kingsford Heights Elementary School. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday, May 29, at the Newhard Funeral Home in Westville. Pastor Dennis Meyer will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery in Otis. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. Thursday until the time of services. Memorial contributions can be made to the Autism Society of Northwest Indiana or the charity of donor's choice.
