Box Car #1

This MONON Box Car number # 1 in 1/8th scale belongs to MRHTS member and friend of mine, Charles Robbing of Hanover, Indiana.  It is one of two MONON box cars currently operating on the New Unionville and Western Railroad along with many stone gons.

The location of the photo is on the turntable at the roundhouse on the 1/8th scale www.newrr.com

Pete,

Do you know what color the car is painted? I have a Mountain Car Co. 40' box car
that I am finishing. I would like to use spray cans so something real close will do.

Thanks,
Mark

Mark,

I believe I used Valspar Premium Enamel Buckeye Brown 65045.  That belongs to Charles Robbins and is plying the rails in Georgia now.

Thanks Pete !

To bad all of the nice Monon equipment moves out of state.
I plan to paint all of my cars for Monon. I'll change the doors on my box car to make
it more accurate for a riveted instead of welded car. Finishing it will be my winter project.
