Indiana Rail Road is scheduled to have their business car ATSF 56 and one other car on the rear of The Hoosier State as well as the three private cars for this excursion.  That puts a dome and four other private cars on Amtrak the morning of April 20th through Linden, Lafayette, Monon, Lowell to Chicago.  The Observatory is from Cincinnati and the other two cars for WVRR are from Huntington, W.Va.
http://www.cincinnatirailway.com/vistadome.htm .  These three cars should be behind the Amtrak Cardinal on the 19th on their way to Indianapolis.

The Observatory is supposed to remain in Indianapolis for the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association annual convention that begins April 21st.

If anyone gets photos of these cars passing through our territory, I would greatly appreciate seeing them.   Thank you.

Friday, April 20th, the Amtrak Hoosier State from Indianapolis to Chicago will have six private cars in the consist. In addition to the three cars for the Whitewater Valley RR and the two cars from the INRD, as shown previously in this thread, Amtrak 10001 is supposed to also be in the train.

The Hoosier State is scheduled to be in Lafayette at 7:33 EDT, and Dyer at 8:27 CDT. Weather forecast for Friday is not favorable for photography.

The Amtrak car 10001 "Beech Grove" was on the rear of the Empire Builder that we took from Chicago to Portland in 2006.  I took the attached photo in Minot, ND during a stop.  The car went on to Seattle on that section of the Empire Builder.  The car appeared to be empty.

I know for certain that Amtrak's "Beech Grove" car was on
Amtrak train 97, the Silver Meteor, overnight from Wash DC
to at least Orlando FL on April 18-19.  Apparently
Amtrak's pres, Mr Boardman, was on board.

I'm glad to see Amtrak has an observation and everything, but Beech Grove just has to be the ugliest one ever seen!
